What is Amatu?

Amatu is a constructed language designed to be easy to learn, consistent to use, and pleasant to speak. Its grammar fits on a single page. Its vocabulary draws from Hawaiian, Sanskrit, Arabic, Māori, Yoruba, and a dozen other languages — words that feel good in the mouth and arrive already half-familiar.

Every rule has no exceptions. Word order is always the same. Pronunciation is exactly what you see. There is nothing to memorize that you cannot derive from first principles in five minutes.

Small on purpose. A language that opens fast and rewards fluency for years.
